About Us
Fertilizer Plus is an independent family owned and operated Michigan company in the lawn care industry since 1978. We are a second-generation business that was formed by Ron Nihranz under Nihranz Landscaping Inc. We began fertilizing in 1985 and in 1992 the Fertilizer Plus name was born. Nihranz Landscaping was closed in 2018. We offer a full line of lawn care, tree/shrub care, and pest control services. We take great pride in being a small professional powerhouse unlike many other providers that are franchises, national or owned by private equity firms. (We love that we are a fertilizing company that does marketing, not a marketing company that fertilizes.)
- We are Local not National
- We are Not a franchise
- We are Not out of state
- We are Not owned by a private equity firm
A fresh approach to traditional lawn care by improving soil health because it’s not all about overfeeding.
Achieving Successful results through………
- 1/3 us (fertilizer plus)
- 1/3 you (mowing and irrigation)
- 1/3 Mother Nature
The most under rated part of having a good lawn is not the fertilizer, or weed control. It’s mowing and watering habits. Everything else are ornaments on the tree. Mowing height and frequency plays a huge role in healthy turf. A thick healthy lawn is the singular best defense against weed activity.
